See your fabric on screen before you stitch
Take a photo of your fabric in the special hoop and send it to the machine wirelessly. The image shows on screen in high resolution and lifelike color, so you can place your design exactly where you want it, every time.
Line up designs on pockets and seams
Use 2-point positioning with the Needle Beam to preview where your design will land, then adjust its position and angle for precise alignment.
Stitch bigger designs with less re-hooping
Four hoops come in the box, from 4" × 4" up to 9½" × 14", along with grids for the positioning app.
Add quilting around any design
Add stippling, echo quilting or any of the 30 decorative fill patterns from IQ Designer around a selected design. Line spacing, distance and frame size are all easy to adjust.
Polished points and mitered corners
Match sharp angles or create mitered corners with 12 angle settings, two ending methods and 20 decorative stitches.
IQ Intuition Monitoring App
Your phone lets you know when the bobbin needs changing, a thread breaks, it is time for a new color or stitching is done.

Baby Lock's manufacturer warranty on the Altair 2 covers the casting for 25 years (limited), parts for 10 years, circuit boards for 5 years, electrical components for 5 years and labor for 1 year. As a certified Baby Lock repair center, we handle warranty service right here in Ankeny. Baby Lock's full warranty terms apply.
