Welcome to our blue house! Located in beautiful Uptown Ankeny. We are set back from the street, located between Hyke's Furniture Gallery and Trailside Tap, directly south of the Ankeny Market & Pavilion (AMP).
The Front Porch
Our enclosed Front Porch is a showcase for many finished quilt samples, patterns and kits. It also houses our Tiara, sit down long arm machine from Baby Lock. You can see just how little space you need to own one of these easy to use quilting machines!
The Check-Out Room
Our Check-Out Room showcases most of our hand embroidery samples and patterns, many are also available as kits. We also varry lots of gift items, magazines and quilting themed fiction for light reading.
The Middle Room
This room changes depending on the time of the year. Half the year, it houses our wide selection of Batiks. You will find an array of precuts, quilt kits and every surface covered with finished quilts, tablerunners, purses and more, all from Batiks. The remainder of the year this room showcases all our holiday fabric, samples, kits, and inspiration.
The Kids Room
The Kids room contains fabric from flannel to cotton to lots of Minky. We have finished samples to inspire and kits for a quick and easy project. You will have no trouble finding the perfect materials for your next baby or childrens project, plus we have some great teen fabrics, as well. The Kids Room also holds a stash of toys for the quilter in training.
Baby Lock Machines, Koala Cabinets and Chairs, Tutto Bags, and More!
This room is a great playground for anyone looking for a new sewing machine or serger. We have about twenty different sewing machines and sergers on our sales floor, let us help you find your perfect match! Chech out our browse the Koala Cabinets and take a break in a Sew-Comfort chair. Heading to a retreat? Pick up your Tutto sewing machine luggage here, they will fit all brand machines.
The Cutting Table Room
As you head back to the cutting tables, you'll be surprised at how large our little house is! Lots of fabric lives back here, including novelties, school prints, flannels, cottons and more. Many displays house purse patterns and finished samples. Quilts, kits and fun little projects are everywhere!
The Classroom
Our classroom is a flexible space that holds a lot. In addition to being the home for our many classes and clubs, in our classroom you will find several brands of thread, wide fabric for quilt backs, prewound bobbins, our color wall, and Legacy batting by the yard or packaged bed sizes. Need a space for your group to meet? Our classroom is available at no charge during regular store hourswhen classes are not in session.
