Machine Embroidery Basics



This class will focus on the basics of machine embroidery and how to use your machine. Learn about stabilizers, loading designs, threads, needles and more Projects will be an embroidered towel and mug rug.  You'll go home with a finished project and be anxious to stitch more!

Minimum 5x7 hoop required on embroidery machine.  Embroidery machine required.

Requirements: Supplies Needed: Kimberbell Mug Rug CD with design you want to stitch downloaded onto a USB Plain white towel to stitch on (we have the perfect ones at the store) Wash-away sticky back stabilizer Light Cutaway stabilizer Woven fusible interfacing for back of applique shapes Kimberbell Project batting or batting scraps Fabrics for Mug Rug design chosen Threads for design chosen 80/12 embroidery needles 5" x 7" or larger hoop Embroidery machine and accessories with manual Kimberbell paper tape embroidery scissors, bobbins and bobbin thread

Instructor Bio: Cindy has been teaching classes at Quilter’s Cupboard for 17 years and enjoys sharing her tips and tricks. Her teaching style is casual and she just wants her students to have fun and learn new skills. No quilt police here!
