COLOR THEORY LEARN-ALONG - I?m so excited to find this book, The Quilter's Field Guide to Color and think it?s going to make a great guide for our new Color Theory Learn-Along! Many of you readily admit that as much as you love to sew, picking out colors and getting it all to go together is difficult so I thought this would be a great way to start off 2021. Each month we?ll tackle a different skill set and use what we learned through a series of 'Patchwork Challenges' which can be used to create a quilt at the end of our class. This is a great follow up class to our Beginning Free Motion Quilting class. Explore more advanced Free Motion Quilting techniques in Jenn's new class. Using a quilt top you have been wanting to quilt, we will explore designs that will create beautiful custom quilting. Bring your Quilting Ruler supplies, and we will incorporate those too. All are welcome but you should be comfortable free motion quilting on your machine, this is a great follow up class to our Beginning Free Motion Quilting class.

Using the Jalie Zip-Front Jacket pattern (2795) we'll serge/sew up a jacket in time for fall. Using any knit fabric with at least 25% stretch, we'll cover a number of garment making techniques. This is a serger friendly pattern, however some installation processes might be easier on the sewing machine. This is a 3 week class as we cover every step of the jacket construction. Quilting Retreats are a fun way to get together with friends (and soon to be friends) and sew away the weekend Work on projects you have or start something new - it's up to you! We provide Saturday night dinner and drinks, as well as ironing stations, tables, cutting stations, and chairs. Retreat begins at Noon on Friday and you can sew until midnight. The room is locked when we leave so you can feel comfortable leaving your materials spread out over night. Saturday the retreat runs from 9am - midnight and Sunday from 9am-3pm. Quilter's Cupboard is always open to retreat goers and we offer a 10% discount to participants all weekend long, as well as a special shopping event for retreat guests only on Saturday night. All you need to bring is your sewing machine or needle and thread, sewing supplies, and projects to work on. We hold our retreat at the American Legion Hall within walking distance of Quilter's Cupboard. Hurry in or call to sign up! Please remember that your reservation must be paid at the time you make it. We are limited to 45 quilters for each incredible weekend
