CLUB: GROOVY GIRLS - AM

-NEW SESSION STARTS IN APRIL- This very popular club is back for another session, and the fun continues. We focus on projects that are fun, easy and make us happy. KND: IT’S ALL ABOUT THE YARN

KND: KNIT-A-LOMG SAMPLER THROW

Join us for a new knit-a-long that will result in a beautiful knitted blanket. This is a six-month knit-a-long. It will be offered in the daytime on the first Wednesday of each month, 12-2pm, and in the evening on the first Thursday of each month, 5:30-7:30pm, starting in FEBRUARY for six months. Suzy will guide you through the 20 different 10”x 10” squares in this six months. You will increase your knitting skills, learn to use 2-3 different colors at a time, learn cables and different textures throughout this six month knit-a-long. Your $25 fee includes 6 months of classes and entitles you to a 15% discount on your supplies for the throw when purchased all at one time. Prerequisites: For the intermediate knitter who knows how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl consistently work to gauge, and read pattern instructions. First Wednesday from 12-2pm or First Thursday from 5:30-7:30pm each month beginning in February.

KND: LACE BASICS

Afraid of lace knitting? It’s time to get rid of those fears and tackle a simple project that will teach you to master lace! You will receive a lace scarf/stole pattern at class. You will learn how to read a lace chart, use a life line, as well as lace stitches—a mix of increases and decreases. This pattern can be made with lace weight up to worsted weight yarn. Mon. KND: MAGIC LOOP TOE-UP SOCKS (2 AT A TIME)

This class will teach you how to make socks using the magic loop method from the toe up. Both socks are made at the same time. You will learn the Turkish cast-on for a seamless toe, a very simple short-row heel method, and Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Sewn bind off. Frustrated when you make a mistake because you don’t know what else to do but start over? Here’s a class just for you. Learn how to fix common mistakes like twisted stitches and dropped stitches.  Learn how to "tink", and frog.  Use a life-line to go back past your mistake. Wed. May 21 6-8pm $20

KND: TOP-DOWN SOCK USING MAGIC LOOP

Ready to learn magic loop? Want to learn how to make socks, too? This class will cover the basic parts of a classic top-down sock with heel flap and gusset.  As an added bonus, you will also learn how to knit using the magic loop method. NIFTY NEWBIE HAT

Are you a beginner lacking experience and confidence? This class is for you! We’ll build from the skills you already have and you will learn to knit in the round with BOTH circular and double-point needles. We’ll cover long-tail cast-on, increasing, and decreasing.
