Learn how to use fusible web successfully and techniques for stitching straight lines and curves plus getting around those tricky inner and outer points. You will also learn how to layer applique pieces to achieve the look you want. Teacher - Cindy Peters Wednesday, May 20th & 27th. 6-8 pm

Take these classes as often as you need to get the most from your machine! In this class we teach you how to master the basics. This includes: winding the bobbin, threading the machine, and maintenance. People also have questions about different buttons on the machines or accessories that come with the machine, so we try to go across all that as well as use all the feet with the coordinating stitches. We start this class by setting up the machine, then go on to selecting a design to get ready to embroider. After the machine is embroidering, we like to sit and discuss all the different kinds of stabilizers, and share tips and tricks that make embroidery easier. During this class we try to learn everything about the cover stitch and chain stitch. Any extra time will be spent learning to use the optional accessories that a lot of you have already purchased. Special Events

Quilting Retreats are a fun way to get together with friends (and soon to be friends) and sew away the weekend Work on projects you have or start something new - it's up to you! We provide meals and drinks, as well as ironing stations, tables, cutting stations, and chairs. Retreat begins at 4:00 pm Friday night and you can sew until midnight. The room is locked when we leave so you can feel comfortable leaving your materials spread out over night. Saturday the retreat runs from 9am - midnight and Sunday from 9am-3pm. Quilter's Cupboard is always open to retreat goers and we offer a 10% discount to participants all weekend long, as well as a special shopping event for retreat guests only on Saturday night. All you need to bring is your sewing machine or needle and thread, sewing supplies, and projects to work on. We hold our retreat at the American Legion Hall within walking distance of Quilter's Cupboard. Hurry in or call to sign up! Please remember that your reservation must be paid at the time you make it. We are limited to 45 quilters for each incredible weekend

The new theme - Row by Row H2O - is fun! Shops in all 50 states and Canada are busy planning their row and creating patterns.
